What a day!
...a very long day.
But one filled with inspiration and hope.
We left our hotel in Crystal City,VA
and arrived at the Lincoln Memorial at about 7 a.m.
The rally was to begin at 10 a.m.
I am glad we arrived when we did!
If you were not able to attend or
missed the live airing on C-SPAN,
here are some excerpts.
Please take the time to watch them.
Early in the morning,
walking across in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
... and a view of the Washington Monument.
(notice the difference in color of the monument?)
We found a spot and settled in.
Everyone was friendly and had traveled from all over the country.
...and what I DON'T miss about the metro area. ☺

While in the DC/Baltimore area we HAD to
visit a favorite restaurant of DH's!
"Broiled Seafood Platter"
~Shrimp, Scallops, Oyster, Crab Cake and Filet of Flounder~
That was hubby's meal...
and here's mine.
Now don't laugh! I don't eat seafood...
