...and when was June 1st???

"It is the month of June,
the month of leaves and roses
When pleasant sights salute the eyes,
and pleasant scents the noses."
                                       --- N.P. Willis

Sadly there are no scents of roses wafting through
our yard, but there are other delights.
My "basil in a pot" on the patio is doing well
despite the 100˚ temps and drought.
And well enough to have Caprese Salad a few times.

And to make tomato tarts!

We have been enjoying some Sweet 100's.
The gathering basket never quite makes it into
the house as full as it should be...
hubby makes "quality assurance checks."

But THIS is what he is waiting for!

Growing Silver Queen corn in a
galvanized water trough.
That's the Sweet 100's in the other trough.

Our DS and DDIL were here for a week
to include the Memorial Day Weekend.
It just goes by too quickly.
They loved the sweltering  heat warm weather here...
I, on the other hand, would prefer the weather
in San Rafael where they live.  Oh, well....

Sewing has been hit or miss lately.
I do have just one Dresden Plate block left to applique,
and then I need to sash them... hopefully this week.
I have fallen behind with quite a bit lately.
Well, sewing... I have been organizing "my stuff."
THAT has been going very well!

Catch up with you soon.
Bye, for now.
