Leafs Me Happy... my day today

Good morning ... or afternoon... or evening,
where ever you may be!

Here is my block for
"Leafs Me Happy."
I chose to make the Log Cabin block...
which is a favorite of mine.
I used Kansas Troubles fabrics for their warmth
and paired it with Moda muslin.

Log Cabin is such a versatile block.
Here are just a few of the layouts using my 16 blocks.

~ Barn Raising ~

~ Fields and Furrows ~

~ Positive / Negative ~

~ Whirligig ~

So now... I must decide which layout I like!

Do you have a favorite layout
for the Log Cabin block?

I am sharing my day
with the following bloggers...

Monday - October 8th

Have a great sew day!
'til next time,
Karen

I love how versatile the log cabin block is! Any design you choose will be pretty. I saw a design on Pinterest that had all the dark sides facing each other. -Happy Fall, Little Mama Hen

I think that for this drastic combo of very dark & white... I think I like the "WhirlyGig" layout better for some reason. They all look good so it's a win-win anyway you lay it out.

Sincerely,
Tricia

I'm going for the whirligig pattern. It is kind of windmill like. Perfect for Kansas. Beautiful!

I think I would like to do the Whirligig pattern, but I think I would have to pay a lot of attention to assembly. Will wait and try that in my retirement days.

Loved your block, the colors were perfect.

I love the log cabin block, but have yet to make a quilt of them!! One day-- and soon! :-) My favorite is Fields and Furrows! What a wonderful block to use Autumn fabrics in-- When I think of "Log Cabins", I think of Autumn in the mountains, old log cabins nestled in the valleys, with smoke from the fireplace wafting up into the evening sky.... ahhhh! :-)
